Activities and Tasks

Here are some ideas of hands-on activities and tasks that we are using in my class.

February 21:

Here is the corresponding hands-on activity for matching upper and lower case letters. I used Comic Sans as the font.

Here is one of our Task Binders. I find using binders saves a lot of space. I use the smaller binders as they fit well in my students "work bins". This binder asks students to count out stickers and find the matching number card to 10. We have about 6 versions of this binder (1-5, 1-10, 1-20, 10-20) with various stickers depending on students interests; one binder is all Spiderman stickers and one is all Disney Princess stickers.

Last week we put up the magnetic letters on the white board easel that has been unused all year. This week we added a sheet with the alphabet on it and the students have been very excited to match the letters.
